His group concentrates on the development of new optical storage standards like Blu-ray Disc and the application of storage in consumer devices, both for in-home use and on the move. Before joining the laboratory in Shanghai in June 2004, he headed research departments at the Philips Research Lab in Eindhoven, in the area of consumer data storage and A/V recording. Mr. Leibbrandt holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Utrecht. |
