Gottfried Johann Leibbrandt * 1932
Dr. Gottfried Johann Leibbrandt started as a Professor of Economics at
the Free University of Amsterdam.
He has been Director General for Higher
Education and Research in the Ministry of Education and was the Founding President
of the Open University of the Netherlands.
He has held various functions on Boards of University institutions and national and international organisations,
including the TEMPUS East-West University Cupertino Program,
the United Nations University in Tokyo, and the UNESCO-European Centre for Higher Education and Research in Rumania.
He has worked as a team leader and consultant in several projects, both in Europe, Asia and Africa,
especially in the area of Cupertino
in higher education and research and open and distance learning.
