My father died at Torrisdale, by Carradale, Campbeltown, Argyll,
Scotland on 17/03/98. 
 
I guess you might say he was the father of a British line since I am
unaware of any other “Leibbrandt”s in the UK, although I believe there
may be some “Leibrandt”s now. 
 
I don’t know how much information you would like but briefly the story
is this.
 
My father left S.A. in 1952 and settled in the  U.K. about 1954.  I was
born in Balham, London, “out of wedlock” as is said. My parents married
about a month after I was born. In the early 1970s he divorced my mother
and married Josephine Wallace, nee de Valom, in June 1975,  who happens
to be the mother of my wife, Rosaleen Mary, nee O’Shea,12/09/42. Our
daughter Sarah was born 25/08/77 in Glasgow.
